The Ultrasonic Flow Sensor IUF is designed to accurately measure the volume of heat carrier fluids (typically water) in closed-loop heating and cooling systems. Ideal for applications ranging from building-level installations to district heating and cooling networks, this sensor offers precise volume tracking in various settings.
The flow data can be output as conventional volume pulses or through an optional data interface (VMCP – Volume Meter Cycle Protocol). One of its key features is the seamless compatibility with Woltman WP flow sensors’ short case lengths, making it easy to upgrade from mechanical to ultrasonic technology without the need for costly system modifications.
To complete a thermal energy measurement setup, the IUF sensor requires a calculator and a pair of temperature sensors.
